January 19 - Matt Trimble of Davenport has announced his campaign for Scott County Auditor and Elections Administrator for the November 5, 2024 General Election.

Matt is a life-long resident of Scott County. He brings 23 years IT industry experience working in complex, enterprise environments with a strong commitment to public service.

He has an BA in History & Secondary Education and an MBA from St. Ambrose University. He currently works as a network technician at Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency and is Chief Steward for the Communications Workers Union Local 7108. He also serves as the CWA 7108 Delegate to the QC Federation of Labor.

Matt recently served as Scott County Democratic Party Chair and has been an active volunteer for Pro-Labor and Democratic candidates and campaigns since 2008. For many years, he has been a volunteer for local non-profit organizations providing technology support and expertise.

His wife is an area Spanish instructor and their 2 daughters have returned to Scott County to begin their professional careers.

The goal of Matt’s campaign is to restore competence and integrity to the leadership of the Auditor’s office and administration of our elections.

Matt believes our elections should be trustworthy not newsworthy.
